Ansible Basic 1
Learn Ansible from the ground up with this in-depth training by O’Reilly’s Ansible: Up & Running co-author René Moser.
The training starts with the basics and works towards advanced patterns and best practices. No previous knowledge of Ansible is required.
Format
The training is delivered online in 2 x 3-hour sessions on subsequent days (other timings available on demand). The training consists of:
- A live video-call-based training via Google Meet or other compatible solutions
- Detailed instructional material covering all training topics, including access to the material after the session
- Time to ask questions and discuss training topics
- Infrastructure to work with
What you learn
The following topics will be covered:
- How Ansible works
- Setting up Ansible
- How to structure your Ansible projects
- Hands on writing and working with Inventories, Playbooks and Roles
- Deploying virtual machines in a Cloud
- Integrating Roles from Ansible Galaxy or other sources
The following topics are not covered, but may be offered in subsequent courses:
- Ansible Automation Platform
- Automating Windows and network devices
- Extending Ansible e.g. writing plugins in Python
- CI/CD
Prerequirements
- Basic knowledge of Linux and the command line interface
- Computer with a modern Browser
- Microphone, headset and Internet access, webcam optional
- Quiet and comfortable workplace with refreshing beverage
